The Name of the Game

This video is just brilliant...I want to sing on a stage like that!

Snow Snow Snow

Was anyone else feeling festive yesterday? It honestly felt like Christmas time in downtown Saratoga yesterday. I was super close to whipping out my Christmas playlist. I guess it's a bit to early...on the other side of things...I'm craving the sun and a pool or ocean. Come January I'm going to need some relief from the winter madness...start saving your dollars my friends...a trip will certainly be in order.

Mamma Mia - Here I go again!

Saw Mamma Mia at Proctor's last night! Awesome time, and I urge everyone in the area to head down to Schenectady and see this show. It's a feel good and light hearted journey. Considering all the bad things going on in this world, it was great to escape for a few hours. The cast was top notch and really put on a great show. From what I hear, most of the shows are completely sold out, but if you can score some seats, get them. You will not be disappointed (unless you don't like to have fun).

Another night another coffee

I have a tough time staying home at night, I always feel the need to be out and about. So where to go on a chilly Wednesday night? Starbucks! Comfy chairs, a hot soy latte, friends and having the opportunity to people watch. Along with the coffee I always enjoy M from *bucks. She is amazing and always makes our visits much more enjoyable. So Cheers to M!!!!

Palin sucks...

I don't need another reason to dislike Palin, in fact I don't need another reason to despise her. Her most recent comments seal the deal for me. Palin is a ridiculous human being and if she ends up becoming our VP I will find a way to leave the country. Read the article, she is a dumb hypocrite...dumb. She doesn't want to judge other people and tell them what she can and can not do...well wouldn't a law preventing gays from marrying do just that. She should shut her mouth and stare a Russia from her house. OBAMA '08

Socialites

10 years from now...

I kid, well...sort of, although what a life! After hanging about with the elite folks of Saratoga this weekend, it would be kind of cool to be a socialite. Not only do you get to attend all these amazing parties you may even get the chance to star in a reality TV show. Can we say "Real Housewives of Saratoga Springs"?

So how does one become a socialite? You have be confident, social, fun, kind, and a bit self absorbed.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and climb the social ladder, only to be on a reality show and get a spinoff. Honestly, I am currently surrounded by an amazing group of people so what more do I need socially? Not a single thing...and the way things have been going I don't think I need to be a socialite to have a reality show, my life is crazy enough.

First Christmas CD of the Year

October 20th? Holy crap! This month (which has been pretty damn awesome) is flying by. Blink once and November will be upon us. Blink twice and we'll be in the midst of December and the holiday season. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and as the stores start shifting their pumpkins to make room for Santa, musicians start releasing their holiday CDs. I purchased my first holiday CD of the year by the lovely Kristin Chenoweth, and it is a great addition to any one's collection. I'm being bit by the holiday bug and I like it. Christmas can never come too early...well maybe it can.

Wolfgang Puck Tri-Grill

I love kitchen gadgets, but I love it even more when a gadget turns into an essential. To say the least, my Wolfgang Puck Tri-Grill from Home Shopping Network has won a place on my kitchen counter. To date, everything I ahve made has been fabulous. Porkchops, chicken, grilled cheese, ham and cheese panini's, potatoes, squash, burgers...the list is endless and delicious! If you like cooking and want an easy solution to preparing your favorite meals, order one of these. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Throw your items on the grill, do some housework and come back to a perfectly cooked meal.

Going GaGa over GaGa

Listening to Lady GaGa's album "The Fame", it's just great! Can't get enough! She is certainly a force to be reckoned with! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Jennifer Hudson

Loving her new album! If you haven't checked it out, do so today! "Spotlight" is the song for today and perhaps the next week or so. Can I also say that Britney's new single is pretty good and the video is even better! Can't wait for the new album.

In search of nibs

While in Greenwich Village we came across a store called "Pure Dark", the store was amazing, however they have no web presence (at least I don't think they do). I must find a way to get a tube of dark chocolate nibs from "Pure Dark". Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I'm desperate for nibs...please help!

Who knew Los Angeles tasted so good...

Flavored vodkas are hit and miss...but the new limited edition Absolut Los Angeles is pretty damn good, in fact we almost polished off the bottle in one night. Try it today!

If I had to name my most favorite invention...

...it would be the delete button!! Talk about overload!!!

A good line...

Recession in Saratoga?

Has anyone else noticed how busy downtown Saratoga has been??? Just last weekend, every restaurant I went to was filled to the brim, and this was around 8:30PM. I know times are hard for all, but by visiting Saratoga Springs, one would think different. It's sort of comforting to see the streets filled with people. What does everyone else thing?

SOHO and The Village

I've fallen in love once more with SOHO and the Village. Usually my purpose for going to the city is to see a show, which makes me stick around midtown and the dreadful mess called Times Square. For this visit I had to head to SOHO for work, and I forgot how much I loved this area of Manhattan. It is so low key and chill. My next trip will certainly be spent exploring the quaint streets and curiosity shops. After a relaxing stroll we had to head back up to midtown to catch a train and the place was a zoo. It was wall-to-wall people...I felt like I needed to run for cover.

A tribute of sorts

For those that matter...it's all about the words...

Where in the world...

...have I been? To say that last week was pure insanity is an understatement. All hell broke out at work but I do have to say that I enjoyed myself. I had to go to the city on Saturday for work (and a bit of play). Saturday was the huge Birthday Bash at Vapor. It was a great time. On top of that my week was filled with some amazing social activities which included two of the funniest nights of my life...hands down. I have video footage, but I can't promise I will post it. Speaking of posting videos, I'm still waiting on the Cher video. Maybe this week??? Other than that, I'm upset we don't' have Columbus Day off, hopefully today will be quiet so I can catch up on my blogging (and work). Have a splendid day!

When you have friends like mine...

...life is pretty damn good.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Life has been a flurry of activity these past couple days and the weekends are even worse (not that I'm complaining). I must share something that is perhaps one of the most heart warming moments of my life. Please bear with me as I hash out all the details.

As you may have heard, my Cher concert in Vegas was cancelled. Of course I was devastated. So when you have friends like mine, they did everything they could to make things better. I'll spare you the play-by-play as the video (which should be uploaded this week) speaks for itself. Most everyone at my work chipped in to hire a Cher impersonator to come in during lunch and perform for me. I was just taken back by the thoughtfulness. I'm truly blessed.

All the mushy stuff aside, it was great fun and I went to bed that night (and every night thereafter) thanking whoever was listening for all the great people in my life. October really is off to a wonderful start.

xoxo

PS: Expect some photos today!

My Favorite Room Spray

Of all my senses, my second favorite is smelling. What I smell is very important. With that said, I'm very picky with room sprays and candles. I'm not a fan of anything that smells like food, although I'm a big fan of Yankee Candle's "MacIntosh". But this room spray/scent takes the cake. It's made by Crabtree & Evelyn and inspired by India Hicks. Whenever I spray it I feel both happy and relaxed. So why am I sharing? A good scent is hard to find, and when I do find one, I want the world to know. So head over to the Shoe Depot and pick up a bottle. You will not regret it.

Happy October
